Post Surgery, for the Fourth Time! Exchange of Tissue Expanders for Implants

Treatment
Hi Everyone,

It seems like I got behind on writing here, and wish you all a very Happy Holiday and New Year. I had my exchange surgery from tissue expanders to implants of December 7th, four months after the last surgery which was the double mastectomy and initial stages of breast reconstruction. This time the plastic surgeon removed the tissue expanders, did more work on making the perfect pockets, and added implants. Except for having gotten the loose cannon anesthesiologist who would best be removed from his job, everything went well, and my surgeon has done fine work.

Am so happy to no longer have the feeling of wearing a wire bra 24/7! It will take some time to get used to implants, and for my body to adjust, but I feel blessed, having traveled this road for so many months and to be here, nearing completion. Sometime around March, I'll have my final surgery, one for reconstructing nipples and areolas, and that will be it, except for another three months down the line after that for tattoos, should I want them.

Honestly, I feel a bit exhausted. Actually, deeply exhausted. Yet that is probably common under a situation such as this. Want to thank everyone for their loving support throughout. Not sure if I could have done it, and am positive I couldn't have done this good of a job, without all of you.
