Organovo's Bioprinter Wins Breakthrough Award At Biofabrication Conference

Treatment
Great news! On October 6, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA, at the 2010 International Conference on Biofabrication, Organovo CEO Keith Murphy was presented a Special Award for the breakthrough capabilities of the NovoGen MMX Bioprinter, an amazing contraption whose production of tissue from cellular ink is the stuff of scientists' and science fiction fanatics' dreams. It is the world's first commercially available production model bioprinter-- the technology of which was developed by Dr. Gabor Forgacs, a good friend of Methuselah Foundation's. With the long-term goal of constructing livers, kidneys, and other vital organs that are usually in very short supply for patients in need of transplants the world over, Methuselah Foundation is very keen on Organovo's progress. We are thrilled that the importance of tissue and organ printing is being recognized with this award for Organovo!
