Diagnosis
Today we met with an urologist. We asked many questions about what everything means. He suggested that my husband continue with the antibiotic that was prescribed on Oc. 8 because blood was still present in his urine. He was also concerned about his blood pressure which was 164 over 112 that day.

He saw that a CAT scan was scheduled for the next day and ordered a dye to give a more accurate picture of the kidneys to see if a stone or tumor was present. He also wanted to see if there was anything blocking the urethra due to trauma suffered in June 2009. At the end of the visit he scheduled a cystoscopy procedure for Nov. 9.

As of this date, no one has mentioned the numbers on a Gleason scale.

My husband's former doctor (spinal dr.) told him that it doesn't look good on Nov. 1 and that the CAT scan showed cancer cells in the pelvic region.
