Diagnosis
Just learned the other day about an old friend of mine that found out he had testicular caner, and he is in his 20s at the time. It wasn't from a routine exam, but rather after much pain, suffering and an ER trip.
It seems like more and more stories are coming out about men being diagnosed with cancers younger than the recommended screening age. One of the biggest treatment advantages is finding cancer early, but it seems like more & more men are being diagnosed with more advanced stages of cancer in their 30s & 40s, yet most of the screenings aren't recommended until 45+.
If we started screening earlier for cancer, maybe we can help the men in their 30s & 40s catch their cancers earlier and give them more treatment options and better chances of success.
