Wellbeing
My darling father died on July 11, 2011, from the result of prostate cancer ravaging his body.

He died as he lived his life with quiet dignity, honor and love from his family...he was surrounded by myself, his two of his three adult grandchildren, my Mom - Dad's wife of nearly 57 years ~ and two hospice nurses.

My parents' 57th wedding anniversary would have been October 22, 2011. And, I was his the lucky kid who got to be his daughter - only child - for over half of his life.

I am heartbroken. I'll check in after his memorial - a military service at the new National Cemetery at Miramar Naval Airbase in San Diego, CA on August 2, 2011. Dad will be laid to rest for eternity at the newly landscaped and developed memorial site which is located at the west end of the airbase's longest runway. When the aircraft and especially F-18s take-off - they bank right (north) right over the cemetery ~ Dad I know would love to have known that - well, I guess he does know now.
