Yesterday we met with the oncologist. He gave us the statistics, once the cancer has metastasized the prognosis is 5 years maybe more. I always get it that today could be the last day but when you hear a doctor say this it is mind-blowing, and depressing.
After the holidays, Ron will be injected with Zometa to decrease complications produced by bone metastasis. Hope he doesn't have the side effects that the doctor described are possible. For now, he will continue with the bicalutamide and the next injection of Zoladex in February.
